This publication has been written by members of an expert group of academic demographers, geographers and other researchers specialising in quantitative demographic ethnicity. It considers the feasibility and advantages of population projections based on ethnicity; outlines how fertility, migration and mortality could be estimated for different minority ethnic populations; and discusses possible theoretical models that could be used to make these projections.
