Linda Martín Alcoff is Professor of Philosophy, Political Science, and Women’s Studies at Syracuse University. Eduardo Mendieta is Associate Professor of Philosophy at the State University of New York at Stony Brook. He is editor and translator of Enrique Dussel's The Underside of Modernity, co-editor of Liberation Theologies, Postmodernity and the Americas (1997), and author of The Adventures of Transcendental Philosophy: Karl-Otto Apel’s Semiotics and Discourse Ethics (2002).
