This volume overviews the present status of bone marrow transplantation and summarizes recent progress and controversies. Ad­ vances in defining the underlying biology of marrow transplantation are discussed. The current status of several major clinical problem areas are reviewed, including engraftment, acute and chronic graft-versus-host dis­ ease, immunodeficiency, and opportunistic infections.
