Roger Hopper, PhD, is an academic developer at the University of Plymouth, UK. He has worked in outdoor learning for over 25 years as an instructor, trainer, centre manager, teacher and lecturer. He is the developer of the National Outdoor Learning Award and was a member of both employer trailblazer groups that developed the Level 3 Outdoor Instructor and Level 5 Outdoor Learning specialist apprenticeship standard.
