He completed his master’s degree in 1979 and Ph.D. in 1998, eventually he became a professor. In 2003, he became Head of the Textile Manufacturing Department and Deputy Director of VJTI in 2004 before retiring in April 2006. He continued thereafter at VJTI as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) and then Emeritus Fellow until July 2011.
