Challenges, Trends and Opportunities

Laurie Buonanno | Carolyn Dudek

Political Science / World / European

Covering cutting-edge trending policies and institutional reformation in the European Union, this innovative text examines how and why issues have emerged on the EU's agenda, and how the EU's handling of these challenges is shaping the future trajectory of Europe. Each chapter, written by an eminent expert in the policy area, provides a rich and informative background for readers, alongside case studies and discussion of the wider institutional and policy trends and critical thinking questions.

From the traditional institutional dynamics of the European Parliament and European Central Bank to new and emerging policy areas, such as anti-discrimination, digital, corruption control, migration, and the environment, this book also examines how the EU's role in cutting-edge policy areas is reshaping global and transatlantic governance.
