NANCY OGDEN has co-authored two introductory psychology texts. She is currently serving as the Vice-Dean of Curriculum, Policy, and Planning in the Faculty of Arts at Mount Royal University in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. She is a full Professor of Psychology at Mount Royal University, where she has taught for over 30 years. She has twice received the Teaching Excellence Award at Mount Royal University. Her scholarly research and publications address a broad spectrum of pressing social issues, including poverty, emotional development in youth, homelessness, physical literacy in early childhood, and data management within the nonprofit sector. During her tenure at Mount Royal University, she led a team of colleagues in the development of a pioneering work-integrated learning initiative within the Department of Psychology, effectively bridging theoretical knowledge and practical experience to prepare students for meaningful careers.

EVELYN FIELD has co-authored several books, including Sex Differences: Summarizing More than a Century of Scientific Research and Sexuality Now: Embracing Diversity. She is a contributing author to various other works, including Biology on the Cutting Edge: Concepts, Issues, and Canadian Research around the Globe and previous editions of Psychology Around Us. She is a former recipient of the Governor General of Canada’s Gold Academic Medal and a Distinguished Faculty Award for excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service at Mount Royal University. Her current research focuses on the use of technology and creative work for the teaching of biopsychology and sexuality. She is a full Professor in the Department of Psychology at Mount Royal University in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
