She is currently working on a companion volume to \u003ci\u003eDisabling Globalization: Places of Power in Post-Apartheid South Africa\u003c\/i\u003e (2002).\u003c\/p\u003e \u003cp\u003e\u003cb\u003eStefan\u003c\/b\u003e \u003cb\u003eKipfer\u003c\/b\u003e is Associate Professor at York University, Toronto. His research deals with comparative urban politics and the role of the urban in social and political theory, particularly in Marxist and counter-colonial traditions. He is the co-editor (with Kanishka Goonewardena, Richard Milgrom, Christian Schmid) of \u003ci\u003eSpace, Difference, Everyday Life: Reading Henri Lefebvre\u003c\/i\u003e (2008).\u003c\/p\u003e \u003cp\u003e\u003cb\u003eAlex\u003c\/b\u003e \u003cb\u003eLoftus\u003c\/b\u003e is a Lecturer at Royal Holloway, University of London. His research focuses on the political ecology of water and the political possibilities within urban ecologies.
