A Fulbright Scholar, Dr. Conroy conducted extensive field research in Bolivia (2011-2014). She holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Pittsburgh, where she also earned a graduate certificate in Latin American studies. Her work focuses on Latin American politics, indigenous movements, gender and representation, and comparative public policy.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cb\u003eWaltraud Morales \u003c\/b\u003ejoined the University of Central Florida's, USA, political science department in fall 1980, and for nearly 35 years taught graduate and undergraduate classes and seminars in international and comparative politics.  In 1995, she became the first woman in the department to achieve the rank of full professor.
