He chairs the Dynamics Committee of the Brazilian Society of Mechanical Engineering and Sciences and his recent work focuses on image processing in automation and robotics, structural dynamics and vibrations, and railway vehicle dynamics.\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\r\n\u003cp\u003eMilton Pereira graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (1995), where he also earned his M.Sc. (1998) and Ph.D. (2004) in Mechanical Engineering. He is a professor and deputy head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC), teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
