From 2008 to 2016, he was Assistant\/Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Engineering, Sungkyunkwan University (SKKU), South Korea. He is currently Director of MEMI (Meta-Evolutionary Machine Intelligence) Lab and Professor with the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST), South Korea. He is an active member of prestigious organizations like IEEE and IETE and has guided numerous PhD scholars.
