This book provides a wide application of AI technologies in cities. The book intends to combine AI with traditional urban planning and development, suggesting specific business opportunities with concrete methodologies, strategies and action plans in a city climate planning framework. The book aims to be a ‘bridge’ between climate issues, urban planning and AI business and invent a new framework and methodologies from synthesis science perspectives.
This book offers a well-balanced, seven part presentation. The first part is concerned with how the new disruptive technologies have activated smart-climate solutions, giving rise to the increasingly prevalent belief that climate smart and sustainable eco-cities can help in achieving urban sustainability and climate solutions. This leads on to a discussion of new climate smart sustainable eco-urbanism.
Professor Dr. Kwi-Gon Kim has been a leading global scholar committed to leveraging innovation to transition towards low-carbon and resource-efficient sustainable urban environments, also including integration of AI and city climate planning focusing on how AI can be leveraged for climate change and sustainability impacts in cities.
