Dr. Winfred Xuan is an Assistant Professor and Programme Director at the School of Education and Languages, Hong Kong Metropolitan University. His research interests include research synthesis, systemic functional linguistics, TESOL teacher education, and the teaching of English and Chinese as a second language. He has published extensively in internationally renowned journals, including the International Journal of Applied Linguistics, Applied Linguistics Review, and Functional Linguistics. He has led more than ten research projects and is the founder and coordinator of Global Genre Research, an international collaborative initiative that bridges research and practice in genre-based pedagogy through Systemic Functional Linguistics (SFL).
Dr Shukun Chen is Associate Professor at the School of Foreign Languages and Cultures, Guangdong University of Finance, China. His research focuses on SFL, particularly in the areas of projection, translation, multimodal discourse analysis, and research syntheses. He has published over 30 academic papers in renowned journals, and has led several research projects.
