This edited volume brings together researchers to discuss violence and trauma experienced by immigrants, migrants, and refugees in the United States. Despite their growing presence, immigrants, migrants, and refugees continue to be confronted with violence, such as domestic violence and school violence, and trauma due to xenophobic sentiments, displacement from their homelands, and detention and deportation. This book contributes to the growing number of empirical studies exploring the violence and trauma experienced by immigrant and refugee populations by linking studies across the spectrum of violence against these populations. In this volume, experts on immigrant, migrant, and refugee issues shed light on how violence against these groups can be best addressed, providing valuable insights to scholars and students of migration studies, sociology, and psychology.
