His research focus also includes the psychology of career and human capacity development and retention, personnel psychology, personality, career psychology, and employment relations. He is recognized for his work on the role of industrial psychologists in future workplaces shaped by 4IR\/5IR-STARA technologies, advocating for a competence model that equips industrial psychologists to play a strategic intelligence role in organisations impacted by these technological advances. Through his academic and research efforts, he contributes to understanding how organisational behaviour and human capacity can be enhanced amid disruptive technological changes.\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eClaude-Hélène Mayer\u003c\/strong\u003e is a Professor in Industrial and Organisational Psychology at the Department of Industrial Psychology and People Management at the University of Johannesburg, South Africa. Claude is a Senior Editor for the Europe`s Journal of Psychology (EJOP), an Associate Editor for Frontiers in Psychology (Positive Psychology) and for the International Journal of Cross-Cultural Management (IJCCM). She holds Doctoral degrees in Psychology, Management and Cultural Anthropology. Her \u003cem\u003eVenia Legendi\u003c\/em\u003e is in Psychology with focus on Work, Organisational and Cultural Psychology (Europa Universität Viadrina, Frankfurt\/Oder), Germany). Claude`s research areas include transcultural mental health, salutogenesis, transcultural conflict management and mediation, women in leadership, emotions across cultures, The Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR), positive autoethnography and psychobiography. She is the winner of several book and research awards, such as the William B. Gudykunst Book Award in 2023, Nautilus Silver Book Awards, and is a finalist in the excellence book awards. In 2025, Claude was awarded the HEWLA (Women in Higher Education Leadership Award) and was ranked by Stanford University as a Top 2% scientist in the world. Further, Claude is a trained psychologist, an accredited systemic family and hypnotherapist (Germany), trauma therapist (USA), constellation facilitator and intercultural mediator.
