His research interests include nonlinear systems, differential‑geometric and differential‑algebraic methods, fractional‑order observers, fault detection and diagnosis, secure communications, synchronization, and chaos.\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eLorenz Oliva‑Gonzalez\u003c\/strong\u003e obtained a B.Sc. in Control and Automation from the National Polytechnic Institute (IPN), Mexico City.
