This book explores computerized methods and technologies for environmental monitoring and control. It presents models, algorithms, software, and hardware for measuring gaseous substances, monitoring oil contamination in water, and assessing mini-brewery wastewater before discharge into municipal sewage systems.

The volume also describes an experimental computerized system for real-time monitoring of nitrate concentrations in liquids using integrated software and hardware solutions. Covering seven chapters, the book is intended for researchers, engineers, lecturers, and postgraduate students working in environmental monitoring, measurement technologies, and control systems.

Prof. Valerii Zdorenko is a Ukrainian scientist and Professor in the Department of Information and Measurement Technologies at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute. His research focuses on ultrasonic measurement systems, non-contact diagnostics, monitoring technologies, and intelligent information-measuring systems. He has contributed extensively to industrial quality control, environmental diagnostics, and engineering education in Ukraine through publications, patents, and supervision of doctoral researchers.

Prof. Nataliia Zashchepkina is Professor in the Department of Information and Measurement Technologies at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute. Her expertise includes intelligent diagnostic systems, optical and television measuring devices, metrology, and non-destructive testing. She has authored numerous scientific publications and contributed to educational and research programmes in instrumentation, monitoring technologies, and engineering diagnostics.
