From the Fall of Fascism to Giorgia Meloni

Luciano Cheles | Peter Burke

Social Science / Anthropology / Cultural & Social

This generously illustrated book offers a groundbreaking exploration of the visual propaganda of the Italian far right, tracing its evolution from the early postwar years to the rise of Giorgia Meloni. By examining a diverse array of materials that range from election posters to graffiti and digital media, this volume uncovers the unique imagery of the far-right's campaigns over decades. Through a visual studies approach, the book reveals the underlying ideas, values and myths embedded in these artifacts, providing a comprehensive analysis of their overt and covert messages.
