The book represents a collection of papers presented at XIV International Biogeochemical School-Conference “Problems of geochemical ecology under conditions of biosphere technogenesis” that was held on 15-20 September 2025 in Tomsk (Russia). Papers in this book cover a wide range of topics connecting with issues of the biosphere evolution under anthropogenic transformation of the environment. The main regarding topics are following: technogenesis, risk assessment; geochemistry of organic matter; air pollution and human health; biogeochemistry of water ecosystems; soil geochemistry; radioactivity and radioactive elements in the environment; biogeochemistry in biology and medicine; new approaches and methods in biogeochemistry (Big Data, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, etc.)

Prof Natalia Baranovskaya holds a position of Full-Time Professor at Tomsk Polytechnic University. Her research interests cover biogeochemistry, environmental geochemistry, medical geology, influence of natural and man-made factors on human health, etc.

Dr Vladimir Safonov holds a position of Head of the Laboratory of Evolutionary Biogeochemistry and Geoecology at Vernadsky Institute of Geochemistry and Analytical Chemistry of Russian Academу of Sciences (Moscow). The main research themes are biogeochemical endemias and microelementoses of farm animals. He pays special attention to ecological and biogeochemical research, organizes experiments on animals, and performs complex biochemical studies of iodine-containing hormones and selenium-dependent enzymes.

Dr Bulat Soktoev works at Tomsk Polytechnic University since 2012. His research areas include environmental geochemistry, mineralogy, coal geochemistry, low-temperature carbonate formation in natural and anthropogenic conditions

Dr Liudmila Bolsunovskaya works at Tomsk Polytechnic University. Her research areas cover teaching tools development of English language application in Earth and environmental sciences.
