Computers / Artificial Intelligence / General

This book gathers outstanding research papers presented at the 9th International Joint Conference on Advances in Computational Intelligence (IJCACI 2025), held in hybrid mode at Washington University of Science and Technology (WUST), Alexandria, United States, and RV Institute of Management (RVIM), Bangalore, India, during August 23–24, 2025. The book presents original contributions in areas of computational intelligence, and it serves as a reference material for advanced research. The topics covered are collective intelligence, soft computing, optimization, cloud computing, machine learning, intelligent software, robotics, data science, data security, big data analytics, and signal and natural language processing.

Dr. Jagdish Chand Bansal is a professor and dean (Research and Development) at South Asian University New Delhi. He is also a visiting professor at Maths and Computer Science, Liverpool Hope University, UK. He also holds a visiting professorship at NIT Goa, India. Dr. Bansal obtained his Ph.D. in Mathematics from IIT Roorkee. Before joining SAU New Delhi, he worked as an assistant professor at ABV-Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management Gwalior and BITS Pilani. His primary areas of interest are swarm intelligence and nature-inspired optimization techniques. Recently, he proposed a fission-fusion social structure-based optimization algorithm, Spider Monkey Optimization (SMO), which is being applied to various problems in the engineering domain. He has published over 70 research papers in various international journals/conferences. He is the section editor (editor-in-chief) of the journal MethodsX published by Elsevier.
Prof. Mohammad Shorif Uddin received his Ph.D. in information science from Kyoto Institute of Technology, Japan; master’s in technology education from Shiga University, Japan; bachelor of science in electrical and electronic engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), and MBA from IBA, Jahangirnagar University. He joined in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Jahangirnagar University, Dhaka, in1992 and currently working as Professor of this department. His research is motivated by applications in the fields of image velocimetry, imaging informatics, computer vision, intelligent systems. He has published around 100 papers in peer-reviewed international journals and conference proceedings and delivered keynote speeches in some of international conferences in home and abroad.
Professor Touhid Bhuiyan is Seasoned Academic and Researcher, currently serving as Professor at the School of Information Technology, Washington University of Science and Technology, Alexandria, United States. He holds a Ph.D. in computer science from Queensland University of Technology, Australia, an M.Sc. in computer science from the American University in London, UK, and a B.Sc. (Hons.) in computing and information systems from the University of London, UK. With over 27 years of international experience in academia and industry across the USA, Australia, and Bangladesh, Dr. Bhuiyan has contributed extensively to the domains of cyber security, software engineering, artificial intelligence, and databases.
