Dr. Muhammad Ali Babar Abbasi is a Reader (Associate Professor) at Queen’s University Belfast, with expertise in antennas, electromagnetics, microwave engineering, and emerging wireless technologies. His research focuses on advanced RF systems, reconfigurable intelligent surfaces, radar, and next-generation 5G/6G communication technologies. He is involved in leading multimillion-pound research projects, has supervised more than 10 PhD students, and has published over 170 peer-reviewed papers. His work has received several awards and distinctions, including the Mobile World Scholar Challenge and IEEE recognitions.
