He earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Berhampur University, with research focused on web mining using Rough Set and Rough Logic. With more than 21 years of experience in higher education, research, and academic leadership, he has made significant contributions to the fields of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Data Science, Recommendation Systems, Web Mining, Rough Set Theory, Sustainable Computing, and Intelligent Information Systems. Dr. Mishra has published over 120 research papers, authored three books, edited more than 25 scholarly books, contributed over 50 book chapters, and holds four published patents, three granted copyrights, and one registered trademark. He has successfully supervised Ph.D. scholars and postdoctoral researchers while actively mentoring researchers in emerging computing technologies. He serves as the Editor-in-Chief of Next-Generation Computing Systems and Technologies (NGCST), Journal Editor of Engineering Systems and Intelligent Technologies (ESIT), and Area Editor of EAI Endorsed Transactions on Energy Web. He is a Senior Member of IEEE, a Life Member of CSI and ISTE, and has been recognized among the World's Top 5% Scientists in the SciRank Global Registry 2025.
