The book is a collection of best selected research papers presented at the International Conference on Secure Data Science and Applications (ICSDSA 2026), organized by Dayananda Sagar Academy of Technology and Management, Bengaluru, India, in technical association with The Tejas Scientific Researcher Foundation, India during March 27–28, 2026. The book covers topics in data science and advanced analytics, artificial intelligence and machine learning for security, quantum computing and secure computation, cyber security and information assurance, secure cloud, IoT, and edge computing, image processing and vision-based security, graph theory and secure data science, and mathematics for data science and security.

Samiksha Shukla is a scholar and educator recognized for her contributions to data science, cybersecurity, and privacy-preserving technologies. Currently, Professor and Dean, the Global Academy of Technology, Bangalore, she has made significant contributions to educational advancement, including founding the Data Science Department at Christ University’s Pune Lavasa Campus. Her research spans privacy-preserving data mining, secure multi-party computation, and healthcare applications. Dr. Shukla has authored and edited books, international journals, magazine articles, and conference papers on data security, ethics, and computational paradigms. She is a reviewer for major journals and conferences, and she actively leads conferences, committees, and collaborations with organizations such as AWS Academy, Google, and Salesforce, earning awards, including the Best Women Faculty Award. Dr. Shukla also engages with professional bodies like ACM, IEEE, WiBD, WiDS, and the Computer Society of India.

Mohammed Misbahuddin is a cybersecurity expert and AI governance assessor with more than 23 years of experience, including 18 years in research and development. As India’s first IEEE CertifAIEd Authorized Assessor for Autonomous Intelligent Systems, he has played a vital role in national initiatives on cybersecurity, identity management, and digital trust. He established the Center for HPC Upskilling and Knowledge Sharing (C-HUK) at C-DAC Bangalore and Northeast, India, and is leading the formation of the MEPZ-C-DAC Skill Center in Chennai. Dr. Misbahuddin is instrumental in founding the National Centre for Digital Trust at C-DAC Bangalore and chairs the IEEE P2989 Working Group, which shapes global authentication standards. An initiator of the ePramaan e-authentication service, he has significantly advanced India’s digital identity ecosystem. He has delivered 300+ expert talks, written 50+ international publications, holds 2 patents in secure authentication, and supervises PhD scholars while actively engaging with capacity-building, standards, and curriculum development.

M. Ravishankar is a distinguished academic leader and researcher specializing in speech processing, digital image processing, and computer vision. Currently serving as the principal of Dayananda Sagar Academy of Technology & Management in Bangalore, he has over two decades of experience in teaching, research, and administration, including serving as a professor and head at renowned institutions. With a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Mysore and a Master's in Industrial Electronics, he has made significant contributions to speech recognition, VLSI signal processing, biometrics, and medical imaging, resulting in numerous publications. He actively mentors Ph.D. scholars and leads funded national research projects, fostering innovation and technological progress.

Adam Slowik is a distinguished academic and researcher specializing in computer science and electronics. He earned his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in computer engineering and electronics in 2001 and a Ph.D. with distinction in electronics in 2007, all from Koszalin University of Technology, Poland. In 2013, he obtained the title of Dr. habil. degree in intelligent systems from Czestochowa University of Technology and has since served as an Associate Professor at Koszalin University of Technology. Dr. Slowik has published over 180 refereed works, including two books and numerous journal and conference papers. His research interests include soft computing, machine learning, neural networks, fuzzy systems, and bio-inspired optimization. A reviewer and editor for leading journals, he has received awards such as the Best Paper Award (2008) and recognition in Stanford’s Top 2% Scientists list (2022, 2023).

Kapil Tiwari is a distinguished Senior Manager of Software Development at Amazon with over 20 years of extensive experience in AI, big data, and privacy-preserving machine learning. Holding a PhD in Computer Science, he specializes in developing innovative solutions that integrate ethical considerations with cutting-edge technology. His research contributions include multiple patents, influential publications, and books on data ethics and the digital economy, positioning him as a thought leader in the field. Throughout his career, Dr. Tiwari has led diverse teams in building scalable, AI-powered automation and analytics platforms using advanced tools such as AWS, Amazon Bedrock, and Data Mesh. His expertise spans web services, Angular, and modern cloud architectures, with significant achievements in developing enterprise-grade Office Add-ins and document management solutions. Recognized for his innovative approach, he received awards including the EMC Rock Star Award and the EMC Excellence Gold Award. Beyond industry, Dr. Tiwari actively contributes to academia as a member of university boards of studies, shaping the future of computer scientists. An avid keynote speaker, he frequently participates in industry and academic conferences, advocating for responsible AI and data ethics. His work embodies a commitment to driving technological progress while upholding ethical standards, shaping the future of AI and data science at the intersection of innovation and ethics.
