PSHE is a fundamental optical phenomenon that results from the spin-orbit interaction of light, analogous to the spin Hall effect. PSHE enables precise manipulation and control of light at the nanoscale, enabling applications in fields such as optical sensing and metrology, quantum photonics, optical communication systems, and spin-enabled imaging and microscopy, all of which are explored in the text. MATLAB-based numerical simulations play a crucial role in modeling and analyzing PSHE, providing insights into light-matter interactions such as surface plasmon-enhanced PSHE, weak measurements of PSHE, and PSHE in metamaterials. The book helps address existing knowledge gaps, presents current insights, and serves as a key resource for students, researchers, and engineers in optics, photonics, and quantum technologies, particularly those who are interested in PSHE’s potential for advancing next-generation optical systems.

Prof. Yogendra Kumar Prajapati, Life Fellow of the Optical Society of India, Senior Member of IEEE and Optica, and Member of SPIE, received his Ph.D. degree in Electronics Engineering from Dr. A.P.J.
