Visible Light Communication with NOMA
Power Allocation and Emerging Technologies
Chidi Emmanuel Ngene | Prabhat Thakur | Ghanshyam Singh
This book explores power allocation in visible light communication systems using Non- Orthogonal Multiple Access (NOMA) and integrating emerging technologies such as Intelligent Reflecting Surfaces and Integrated Sensing and Communication (ISAC). It provides detailed analysis, simulations, and practical insights to advance the field of next- generation wireless communication. The authors describe techniques with benefits that include minimized latency, improved security, high channel capacity and data rates, accuracy, increased bandwidth, and cost-effective components. Coverage includes simulation results from both indoor and outdoor ecosystems using NOMA communication. The authors also discuss user pairing/joint user pairing, signal power domain control, power allocation, superimposed coding (SC) and successive interference cancellation (SIC) phenomenon, which improve user performance and interference management with full-time frequency resource utilization. The book also addresses intelligent reflection surfaces (IRS) technology and ISAC, as viable integrations for next-generation broadband communication networks.
- Provides detailed information about the Visible Light-Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access (VL-NOMA) communication network
- Includes a performance analysis of various power allocation techniques for VL-NOMA communication systems
- Describes VL-NOMA with intelligent reflecting surface technology for integrated sensing and communication systems
- VL-NOMA-enabled integrated sensing and communication systems have been introduced for various emerging use cases
