Reframing Luxury Fashion Supply Chains

From Operations to Strategic Identity

Patrizia Gazzola | Roberta Pezzetti | Iuliia Iliashenko | Michelle Russo

Business & Economics / Industries / General

The book examines the strategic role of the supply chain in the luxury fashion sector, highlighting how it has undergone profound transformations in recent years following global crises, regulatory and reputational pressures.

Paying particular attention to companies' ability to address critical events and convert them into opportunities, the book offers analysis of four representative case studies from the luxury sector. The authors evaluate the strategies that these companies adopted in response to supply chain risks and systemic changes, and compared different intervention models. In doing so, they offer analysis of their medium- to long-term operational, economic and reputational impact.

Reflecting how supply chain management is becoming increasingly central to luxury firms’ strategic agendas, this book is an insightful resource for academics and practitioners alike.
