This book examines how gender-based violence in Zimbabwe has evolved across new and emerging spaces, from online platforms and higher education institutions to workplaces, informal settlements, and diasporic communities. It argues that gender-based violence can no longer be understood through traditional lenses focused only on domestic or intimate partner violence, and that an intersectional, multi-sited analysis is now required. Bringing together scholars from several disciplines, the chapters trace the intersections of gender, class, migration, technology, and policy, showing how social change has reshaped both the forms and the experiences of violence. Case studies, qualitative narratives, and policy critiques give the collection empirical depth while contributing to debates on gender, power, and digital cultures in the Global South. Topics include online harassment, workplace abuse, institutional neglect, and the silencing of male and migrant victims. It offers comparative insights for scholars, practitioners, and policymakers working on gender justice and digital rights.

Manase Kudzai Chiweshe is a research associate in the SARCHi Chair: Welfare and Social Development in Informal Settlements, College of Human Sciences, University of South Africa and a senior lecturer in the Department of Community and Social Development at the University of Zimbabwe. His academic work spans gender studies, sociology of everyday life, livelihoods, agrarian studies, sport, and culture, with a special focus on gender-based violence and intersectional inequalities in the Global South.

Thebeth Rufaro Masunda is Lecturer in the Department of Community and Social Development at the University of Zimbabwe with over a decade of teaching, research, and development consulting experience. Her research expertise spans gender and development, migration and remittances, livelihoods, social policy, community-based development, and women's economic empowerment.
