Daniel Hernández de la Iglesia received his Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from the University of Salamanca in 2018. He also holds a Technical Engineering degree in Computer Systems (2013), a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering (2014), and a Master’s Degree in Intelligent Systems (2015), all from the University of Salamanca. For more than ten years, he has been involved in research groups working in the fields of Artificial Intelligence, embedded systems, intelligent systems, and the Internet of Things (IoT). During this period, he was awarded a predoctoral fellowship from the Regional Government of Castile and León to carry out his doctoral research, which focused on the application of intelligent technologies to real-world environments. He has participated and collaborated in more than 20 national and international research projects, contributing to multidisciplinary work related to Artificial Intelligence, sensor networks, smart environments, and advanced computing.

Cecilia Celeste Danesi is a lawyer, writer, lecturer, teacher, and researcher specializing in Artificial Intelligence, gender, and rights. Her work focuses on innovation and technology, with particular attention to their social impact and their implications for human rights and equality. She studied Law at the University of Buenos Aires and worked for more than ten years in the Judiciary. She began her teaching career at the Faculty of Law while she was still a student. Later, she moved to Spain after receiving a scholarship from the Carolina Foundation, where she completed a Master’s degree. Her Master’s dissertation marked the beginning of her academic and professional interest in Artificial Intelligence. After several years of research, in 2018 she created and launched the first course on “Artificial Intelligence and Law” at the Faculty of Law.

Juan F. de Paz Santana has developed a well-defined research career focused on multi-agent systems, ambient intelligence, distributed Artificial Intelligence, sensor networks, and digital animation. He has applied these technologies to a wide range of fields, including bioinformatics, computer security, energy, healthcare, indoor localization, mobility, and industrial applications. His early research addressed technology innovation and digital art, with particular emphasis on automatic behaviour in digital animation through the integration of Artificial Intelligence. He later continued his research through an FPI scholarship within the THOMAS project, focused on methods, techniques, and tools for open multi-agent systems, including reasoning, communication, and security. Throughout his career, he has contributed to the development of multi-agent systems with learning capabilities, using case-based reasoning and Artificial Intelligence techniques such as artificial neural networks.

Alfonso J. López Rivero holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Pontifical University of Salamanca and a Degree in Physical Sciences from the same university. He has also obtained accreditation for all university teaching positions from ACSUCYL. Since joining the Pontifical University of Salamanca in 1996, he has held several academic and management positions. He served as Director of the Knowledge Transfer Office, from 1999 to 2011, Director of the IBERDROLA Classroom, from 2009 to 2015, and Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science for two terms, from March 2015 to March 2021. He also participates in the PROFUTURO-UPSA Chair and has collaborated since 2011 with the Spanish Association for the Development of the Diagnosis and Treatment of Dysphagia. He has supervised four doctoral theses and currently supervises three more.
