This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 24th International Conference on Practical applications of Agents and Multi-Agent Systems, PAAMS 2026, held in Naples, Italy, during October 2026.

The 19 full papers and 12 short papers and 10 demonstration papers included in this book were carefully reviewed and selected from 73 submissions. They focus on application and validation of agent-based models, methods, and technologies in a number of key application areas, including agentic AI and large language model-based agents, agent-based simulation of complex systems, multi-agent reinforcement learning, negotiation and coordination, trust and dependence networks, multi-agent path finding and routing, distributed and high-performance simulation, agents for energy, mobility and healthcare, and human-agent interaction.
