This book gathers high-quality research papers presented at International Conference on Complex System Modelling and Artificial Intelligence (CSMAI 2026) held at the Faculty of Information Technology, “Aleksandër Moisiu” University of Durrës during 21–22 May 2026. The book covers research in complex system modelling, nonlinear dynamic systems, computational simulation, multi-agent systems, network theory, emergent behavior, deep learning, reinforcement learning, explainable AI (XAI), cognitive computing, natural language processing, marine data science, AI for climate and ocean systems, smart cities and digital twins, and sustainable blue economy.

Siddhartha Bhattacharyya [FIET(UK), FIEI, FIETE, FSCRS, LFOSI, SMIEEE, SMACM, SMAAIA, SMIETI, LMCSI, LMISTE] is currently serving as a senior researcher in the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science of VSB Technical University of Ostrava, Czech Republic. He also serves as the scientific advisor to Algebra University College in Zagreb, Croatia. He has co-edited 115 books, co-authored 07 books, and published over 450 articles in journals, conference proceedings, and edited volumes. He has two PCTs and 21 patents to his credit. He is the Co-Editor-in-Chief of Applied Soft Computing and the Senior Editor of IEEE Access. He is also the Associate Editor of several reputed journals, including IEEE Access, Evolutionary Intelligence, and IET Quantum Communications. He is the editor of the International Journal of Pattern Recognition Research and the founding Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Hybrid Intelligence, Inderscience.

Debabrata Samanta, Ph.D. serves as Professor in the Department of Computing and Information Technologies at the Rochester Institute of Technology – Kosovo, Europe. He obtained his Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Durgapur, India, on SAR Image Processing. He has completed six Consultancy Projects. Under his guidance, four students have accomplished their Ph.D. degrees. He owns 22 Patents (4 Design, 1 Utility Indian Patents and 2 Australian patents granted, 16 Indian Patents published) and 2 copyrights. He has authored and co-authored over 273 research papers in international journals (SCI/SCIE/ESCI/Scopus) and conferences, including IEEE, Springer, and Elsevier Conference proceedings. He received the “Scholastic Award” at the 2nd International Conference on Computer Science and IT Application, CSIT-2011, Delhi, India. He is a co-author of 13 books and the co-editor of 26 books, available for sale on Amazon and Flipkart.  Under his guidance, four students have successfully completed their Ph.D. degrees, and six researchers have completed their postdoctoral studies.  His student-led project, developed under his guidance, received recognition in the USA and was featured in Spectrum News after winning at Imagine RIT, USA.

Anjeza Pasku (Krakulli) is an academic and researcher in the field of Mathematics, currently serving as Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology at “Aleksandër Moisiu” University, Durrës, Albania, where she is also a lecturer in the Department of Mathematics. She holds a PhD in Algebra from the University of Tirana, following a Master’s degree in the same field. Dr. Pasku has been actively engaged in teaching and research delivering courses such as Algebra, Abstract Algebra, Discrete Mathematics, Mathematical Analysis, and Cryptography. She has also served as an external lecturer at several public and private institutions in Albania. Her research interests focus on algebraic structures, topology and fuzzy topology, with particular emphasis on their application to modern cryptography. She has published several scientific papers indexed in Scopus in international journals and conference proceedings, and is co-author of university-level mathematics textbooks.
