Sandesh Parajuli, MD is an Associate Professor of Medicine and a transplant nephrologist at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, with more than 12 years of experience. He serves as the Medical Director of the Pancreas transplant program and as a UW Health Kidney Transplant Clinic Dyad. His clinical Specialties include post-kidney transplant care, pre-transplant evaluation, transplanted kidney biopsies, care of pancreas transplant recipients, and delayed graft function. His research interests include acute kidney rejection, infections in kidney transplant patients, care of pancreas transplant recipients, frailty, and de novo donor-specific antibodies. He has published more than 200 articles in peer reviewed journals, published multiple book chapters, and presented his research in various national and international conferences
Fahad Aziz, MD, MBA, is an Associate Professor of Medicine, Chief of the Division of Nephrology, and a transplant nephrologist at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. He also serves as the Program Director of the Nephrology Fellowship Program and as Editor-in-Chief of the Wisconsin Medical Journal. His clinical expertise includes kidney transplantation, management of kidney allograft dysfunction, antibody- and T-cell–mediated rejection, recurrent glomerular diseases after transplantation, and cardiovascular complications following kidney transplantation. His research interests include transplant rejection, post-transplant glomerular diseases, and cardiovascular disease and hypertension after kidney transplantation. Dr. Aziz has published more than 100 articles in peer-reviewed journals, authored and edited multiple books and book chapters, and presented his work at national and international conferences. He is also actively involved in medical education, mentorship, and physician leadership, with a particular interest in developing the next generation of physicians and academic leaders.
