Technology & Engineering / Telecommunications

This book gathers outstanding research papers presented at International Conference on Networks, Computing Systems, and Data Analytics (ICNCDA 2026), held in hybrid mode at University of Essex, Colchester, UK, during July 29–30, 2026. The book presents novel contributions in areas of networks and communication technologies, computing systems and architectures, data analytics and artificial intelligence, security, privacy, and trust, and human–computer interaction.

Wenjia Li has been a tenure-track assistant professor of computer science at New York Institute of Technology since fall 2014. Prior to joining New York Tech, Li was a tenure-track assistant professor at Georgia Southern University. He obtained his Ph.D. in computer science from University of Maryland Baltimore County in August 2011. His master’s degree in computer science (2005) and a bachelor’s degree in telecommunications engineering (2002) are from Hunan University, China. Li’s main research areas are cybersecurity, networking, and mobile computing. He studies trust management policies in wireless networks; cyber-physical systems (such as intelligent transportation systems); the internet of things; and Android mobile devices. Li has published over 70 research papers in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings.

Dr Ginu Rajan is Director of the Centre for Engineering Research in Intelligent Sensors and Systems and Reader in Sensor Technologies at Cardiff Metropolitan University, UK. He has an established international research profile spanning photonic and intelligent sensing systems, smart and advanced composite materials, biomedical sensing, and structural health monitoring. Dr Rajan has led and co-led major research projects in the UK and Australia, working closely with industry and interdisciplinary partners. He has secured over £2.7 million in competitive research funding as Principal or Co-Investigator from agencies including UK Research and Innovation, Ser Cymru, Wales Innovation Network, the Australian Research Council, and the Australian Department of Industry, Innovation and Science. His research has delivered demonstrable real-world impact, including the commercialization of the patented STELA biomaterial composite system (SDI Ltd, Australia) and an AI-assisted brain concussion monitoring system developed with Brain Health Now Ltd (UK).

Professor Martin Reed is Professor and Deputy Head of the School of Computer Science and Electronic Engineering at the University of Essex. Professor Reed holds a PhD from the University of Essex (1997) and a First-Class BEng with Industrial Year from the University of Surrey (1989). His research focuses on computer networking and network security, with recent work on security for the Internet of Things (IoT), software defined networking (SDN) security, information/content-centric networking, SDN architectures, and the transmission of multimedia over networks. He has contributed to numerous EU, EPSRC and industrially funded research projects, collaborating with both academic and industry partners. Within the School, Professor Reed has played a leading role in curriculum development, including guiding the successful merger of programmes from the former departments that now constitute the School. He has extensive experience in academic quality assurance, having served as an external examiner for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes at several UK universities.

Dr. Rajkumar Singh Rathore currently serves as a Senior Lecturer(Associate Professor) and Program Director for the MSc in Computing and IT within the School of Technologies at Cardiff Metropolitan University, United Kingdom. He leads the Cyber-Physical and Networked Systems group at the CeRISS Research Centre and heads the Cybersecurity initiatives for Connected and Autonomous Systems at the CINC Research Centre. As a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (HEA) in the United Kingdom, Dr. Rathore has amassed several years of experience in scholarship of teaching learning and research excellence. He is the cluster head of a Responsible and Transparent Artificial Intelligence Research Cluster (RTAR-C) consisting of 15 international universities for joint research endeavours.
