Vivek P. Chavda is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Technology at L. M. College of Pharmacy, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. He is a B.Pharm. and M.Pharm. gold medalist from Gujarat Technological University. Before joining academia, he worked in the biologics industry for almost eight years, conducting research and development in biologics at Lupin Biotech, Pune, and Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, Hyderabad.
He has more than 300 national and international publications, 50 book chapters, 10 additional book chapters under communication, 20 edited reference books, seven patents in the pipeline, and numerous newsletter articles to his credit. He has an H-index of 53 and was listed among the world’s top 2% of scientists by Stanford University and Elsevier in 2023, 2024, and 2025.
He also serves as an editorial board member for various Scopus-indexed journals, including Military Medical Research (Impact Factor 19), Oncology Research (Impact Factor 4.9), Frontiers in Medicine (Impact Factor 3.7), iMetaMed (Wiley), Clinical Complementary Medicine and Pharmacology (Elsevier), and Outbreak Management and Response (Taylor & Francis). He is also a guest editor for MDPI, Frontiers, and Springer Nature. He is an active reviewer for Scopus-indexed journals, with impact factors ranging from 2 to 73.
His research interests include the development of biologics processes and formulations, medical device development, complex injectables, nanodiagnostics and non-carrier formulations, long-acting parenteral formulations, and nanovaccines.
