José Manoel Balthazar | Paulo Gonçalves | Paulo José Paupitz Gonçalves | Ângelo Marcelo Tusset
This book compiles invited papers from the ICONNE 2025 – International Conference on Nonlinear Dynamics, Chaos, Control, and Applications to Engineering, showcasing cutting-edge research in nonlinear dynamics. It covers analytical, computational, and experimental developments with applications across mechanical, civil, naval, offshore, aeronautical, chemical, and electrical engineering. The book also includes review articles on the state of the art and research on emerging fields such as energy harvesting, renewable energy, biosystem dynamics, ecosystems, and life sciences.
José Manoel Balthazar is a Senior Professor at the College of Engineering, State University of São Paulo (UNESP), and a Visiting Full Professor at the Federal University of Technology of Paraná (UTFPR). His research focuses on nonlinear dynamics, chaos, control applications in engineering, electromechanical systems, and nonideal vibrations.
Paulo Batista Gonçalves is an Emeritus Professor and Chair of Structural Dynamics and Stability at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio). His research interests include structural instability, nonlinear vibrations, dynamical systems theory, multistability, and wind energy.
Paulo José Paupitz Gonçalves is an Associate Professor at the School of Engineering, State University of São Paulo (UNESP). His research focuses on dynamics, vibration control, nonlinear vibrations, multibody dynamics, and aeroelasticity.
Angelo Marcelo Tusset is an Associate Professor at the Federal University of Technology of Paraná (UTFPR). His research interests include dynamic systems control, chaos, linear feedback control, active and passive control, robotics, and optimal control.
