Intelligent Forensics: AI and ML Innovations in Multimedia Evidence Analysis
S.S. Iyengar | Vir V. Phoha | Prasad Honnavalli | Naveen Kumar Chaudhary
This book brings together several high-quality contributions from distinguished researchers and practitioners working at the forefront of AI-enabled cybersecurity, digital forensics, and related interdisciplinary areas. Each chapter provides in-depth technical insights, combining theoretical foundations with practical methodologies and real-world case studies that reflect current challenges and emerging trends in the field. The volume is designed to offer a coherent and comprehensive treatment of how artificial intelligence and machine learning are transforming modern cybersecurity and forensic investigation. Topics include advanced threat detection, intelligent incident response, multimedia and network forensics, adversarial machine learning, data integrity and trust, and the forensic analysis of complex, large-scale digital ecosystems. Collectively, the chapters highlight both methodological innovations and their implications for security, privacy, and resilience.
- Features future‑proof forensic frameworks engineered to withstand generative, adversarial, and domain‑shift threats;
- Includes multimodal AI integration for cross‑modal reasoning across visual, textual, audio, and sensor intelligence;
- Presents security‑aware AI emphasizing robustness, explainability, and quantum‑resilient evidence preservation.
