They constitute a research group whose interests include the study of the probabilistic and inferential theory of branching processes as well as their applications. Their research has been mainly focused on the development of two-sex branching models and controlled branching processes, and their applications in population dynamics and genetics, as well as on the study of continuous-time branching models in an epidemiological context. They have published around one hundred of papers in this field and have supervised several doctoral theses.
