Training abroad (post-doctoral and sabbatical): UNC-Chapel Hill (1986-87), Johns Hopkins (1996-97) and Harvard/Brigham (2013). Fellow of the American Heart Association. Current positions: Chief of Cardiology, Hospital de Clínicas de Porto Alegre, Researcher CNPq 1A (Brazilian Agency of Research). Editorial Board: Hypertension (past), Journal of Hypertension and others; reviewer for more than 30 international journals (mostly devoted to hypertension and CV disease). Dr Fuchs has a prolific scientific production, mainly on the field of cardiology and hypertension, with 11 textbooks published in English and Portuguese and more than 300 full articles. These contributions have more than 3300 citations and a H index of 30 in ISI and more than 7300 citations and H index of 45 in Google Scholar.
