Ceramic additive manufacturing from feedstock preparation through advanced industrial applications
Ceramic additive manufacturing demands specialized knowledge spanning material preparation, printing mechanisms, and post-processing. Additive Manufacturing of Ceramics: Fundamentals, Techniques, and Applications, edited by two internationally recognized ceramics researchers, assembles contributions from leading experts across the international community. The volume addresses each major AM technique with detailed coverage of energy-source-material interactions, debinding, and sintering specific to ceramic systems.
The book traces the origins and development history of each ceramic AM technique, then examines current processing knowledge from feedstock formulation through finished components. Case studies span aerospace, biomedicine, electronics, catalysis, and energy devices. Detailed discussion of printing mechanisms provides readers with the technical depth required to evaluate, optimize, and implement ceramic AM processes in research and production settings.
