This book focuses on the effect of minimum quantity lubrication (MQL) on the mechanical and thermal history, which will mainly determine the quality of the machined components. By analyzing the details of the lubrication and cooling effects in MQL machining, the book provides readers with an accurate and fast way to predict the residual stress of machined components. Xia Ji graduated from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China, in 2014 with a Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Manufacturing and Automation. She is currently an associate professor and doctoral supervisor at Donghua University, Shanghai, China. In addition, Dr. Ji has hosted 2 National Natural Science Foundation of China, 1 Shanghai Natural Science Foundation, 1 National Postdoctoral Science Foundation, 1 State Key Laboratory Open Project, and projects commissioned by enterprises. She has published more than 30 academic papers, including 29 SCI/EI papers as the first author/corresponding author.
