This book includes peer-reviewed articles from ICARCAI 2025 held in Fiji. It highlights the latest research developments and outcomes on all aspects of advanced robotics, control, and artificial intelligence. In particular, not only are new and emerging methodologies and techniques in robotics and control systems as well as artificial intelligence included, but also the practical concerns and challenges in industrial applications are presented.
Hai Wang (Senior Member, IEEE) received his PhD degree from Swinburne University of Technology (SUT), Australia, in 2014, in electrical and electronic engineering. From 2014 to 2015, he was the Postdoc Research Fellow in the Faculty of Sciences, Engineering and Technology, at SUT, Australia. From 2015 to 2019, he was with the School of Electrical and Automation Engineering at Hefei University of Technology, China, where he served as the Full Professor (Huangshan Young Scholar). Hai is currently the Associate Professor of Electrical Engineering and Director of Advanced Robotics, Control and Artificial Intelligence Research Laboratory, at Murdoch University, Perth, Australia. His research interests are in nonlinear systems and control, intelligent control, robotics and mechatronics, autonomous systems & vehicles, artificial intelligence, Industry 4.0 and smart agriculture.
Dr. Wang is now the IEEE Vehicular Technology Society (VTS) Distinguished Lecturer (2026–2028) and Chair of IEEE VTS Western Australia Chapter. He currently serves as the Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, IEEE Transactions on Network Science and Engineering, IEEE Transactions on Emerging Topics in Computing, Robotica, etc. He has played active leadership roles in numerous international conferences, serving as the General Chair of IEEE ICPS-2026, ARCAI-2026, 2025 and 2024, the Finance Chair of IEEE INDIN-2022, SGES-2020, ICPES-2019, etc. He won the 2023 Murdoch University Vice Chancellor’s Excellence Award in Research.
