He received his PhD from Nagoya University in 1994, as well as a Master’s degree from Nanjing Institute of Geography and Limnology, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1986 and a Bachelor’s degree from Nanjing University in 1983.\u003cspan style=\"background-color: white;\"\u003e \u003c\/span\u003eSince 1998, he has served as Associate Professor, Professor at Tongji University.
