He has conducted research as a principal professor and \u003cspan data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\"\u003ecurrently as a Professor Emeritus \u003c\/span\u003eof the Graduate School of Engineering, Toyota Technological Institute.\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp\u003eHis research interests include the structure analysis and clarification of the structure–property relationship of polymers and related compounds from the hierarchical point of view.\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp\u003eHe has published some 400 original articles and 140 review articles and has contributed to 70 books.
