Prof. (Dr.) Narpinder Singh is the Vice Chancellor of Graphic Era Deemed to be University, Dehradun, Uttarakhand, India, and holds the prestigious J.C. Bose National Fellowship awarded by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. Prior to his current role, he has served in various academic and research leadership positions, contributing significantly to food science and cereal chemistry.
He holds a doctoral degree in food science and has dedicated his academic career to teaching, research, and scientific advancement. His research interests focus on food chemistry, cereal processing, climate-resilient food systems, and the nutritional enhancement of staple crops.
Prof. Singh is recognized for his impactful research on pulses, cereals, and functional foods, and has collaborated extensively at national and international levels. He is a Fellow of multiple prestigious scientific bodies, including the Royal Society of Chemistry (UK), Indian National Science Academy, National Academy of Agricultural Sciences (India), and the National Academy of Sciences (India).
Prof. (Dr.) Abdel Rahman Mohammad Said Al-Tawaha is a Full Professor in the Department of Biological Sciences at Al Hussein Bin Talal University, Jordan. He has previously served as the Head of the Department and as Director of the Planning, Information, and Quality Unit, where he played a key role in academic and institutional development.
Dr. Al-Tawaha earned his PhD in Plant Science from McGill University, Montreal, Canada. His academic career spans research, teaching, and administration, reflecting a deep commitment to advancing agricultural science and education.
His research interests lie in plant physiology, crop improvement, seed science, and sustainable agricultural practices. He has contributed extensively to global discussions on food security and sustainable development through participation in international conferences and scientific committees.
Dr. Al-Tawaha has received recognition for his academic contributions and has played an influential role in fostering research collaborations and capacity building in plant sciences. He has actively supported initiatives aimed at enhancing agricultural resilience and biodiversity conservation, particularly in arid and semi-arid regions.
