The first volume, Frontiers of Near-infrared Spectroscopy I: Basic Spectroscopy, Instrumentation and Chemometrics focused mainly on the basic studies and this second volume presents the applications. A key aspect of this volume is spectral imaging, which has experienced significant development over the past decade. This technique is closely linked to advancements in chemometrics. Furthermore, it includes a broad array of state-of-the-art applications, featuring novel uses in fields such as health science, paleocultural property science, and cultural heritage. This book will be suited for both graduate students and young researchers and established scientists.

Prof. Yukihiro Ozaki received his Ph.D. from Osaka University in 1978. His research interests include basic research and applications of NIR spectroscopy, Raman spectroscopy, and far-ultraviolet spectroscopy.
