This book presents an in-depth exploration of pharmacological dosage formulations and administration techniques of herbal remedies for a wide range of disease conditions. It explores the science and practice of combining active components with excipients to create effective, safe, and clinically viable dosage forms. By integrating principles of pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and formulation science, the book guides readers through the process of developing herbal dosage forms that meet the highest standards of quality, cost-effectiveness, scalability, and reproducibility.
Organized into disease-specific chapters, the book covers herbal formulations for conditions such as diabetes, cardiovascular and respiratory disorders, gastrointestinal affections, wound healing, and gynecological health, as well as formulations aimed at boosting memory and energy. It also addresses critical aspects such as adverse reactions, contraindications, toxicology, and the regulatory and quality control frameworks governing herbal medicines. This structured approach makes the volume an invaluable reference for practitioners, researchers, and formulation scientists.
Designed for specialists, academics, and professionals in medical, veterinary, and pharmaceutical fields, this work not only supports innovation in herbal drug development but also aids in the identification of ineffective or hazardous products. Readers will benefit from its unique combination of theoretical insights, practical formulation guidance, and disease-specific applications. By bridging traditional knowledge and modern pharmaceutical science, the book serves as both a practitioner’s manual and an academic resource, fostering advancements in healthcare innovation, public health protection, and patient-centered treatment strategies.
