The ‘Teaching as Inquiry’ model used across New Zealand Schools forms the frame for the research approach used. This book provides preservice teachers and teachers with actual online-based research inquiries for the purpose of professional learning. Jhagroo is a senior lecturer at Auckland University of Technology, School of Education, New Zealand. She teaches and leads the practice-based inquiry courses on postgraduate programmes. Jyoti works closely with the preservice teachers as they develop and carry out inquiries in their practice in completion of the Master of Teaching and Learning qualification. In her previous senior management role, she led the shift from in-person face-to face to remote online teaching practice which included teaching and learning inquiries on online platforms during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.As a researcher, she continues to publish in the area of practice-based inquiries. Her practiced-based research spans the lived experiences of immigrant students in the mathematics classroom, and the lived experiences immigrant teachers, the lived experiences of teachers as inquiring practitioners. She also contributes to national and international conferences, serves on editorial boards, supervises, and examines postgraduate theses.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003ePatricia M. Stringer’s New Zealand experience in the primary education sector covers teaching, senior management roles and advisor to schools. At the tertiary level, Patricia has been involved in graduate and post graduate teacher education and educational administration programmes at various universities: Auckland University of Technology, Massey University, and Auckland University. Her international experience includes teaching and supervising students at Emirates College for Advanced Education, a teacher training institution in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Patricia’s doctorate focuses on capacity building for school improvement. Her research interests include professional development for teachers and principals, school improvement and educational leadership.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eMartha A. McFaul is an experienced educator. She has held several teaching and senior leadership roles including School Curriculum Leader and Deputy Principal in the Primary education sector and Programme Leader of the Bachelor of Education in the tertiary sector. Working with teachers in their professional development, Martha has been a lecturer at Auckland University of Technology, School of Education, New Zealand, since 2017. Valuing the praxis between theory and implementation, Martha has been a Mentor Lecturer working with Master of Teaching and Learning students in schools and supporting student teachers’ development in mathematics education.
