M. Anthony Xavior is a distinguished Professor in manufacturing at the School of Mechanical Engineering, Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), Vellore, India. He holds a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from Vellore Institute of Technology, India (2010). With many years of academic excellence, he has established himself as a leading researcher in materials science and manufacturing engineering. Prof. Xavior's research portfolio encompasses advanced materials, additive manufacturing, and composite materials, with particular expertise in graphene-reinforced composites and high-entropy alloys. Recent research includes the development, fabrication, characterization and property evaluation of different materials for gaseous hydrogen storage and transportation applications. Currently working on AI-driven sustainable materials and resource-efficient technologies for green hydrogen and various critical sectors. He has completed numerous high-value research projects funded by prestigious organizations in India, including Department of Space, Defence Research Development Organization and the Department of Science and Technology. He has also completed a couple of international collaborative projects supported by British Council. He is a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), Life Member of the Indian Society for Technical Education and Life Member of the Institution of Engineers (India).
Anna Burduk is a distinguished Full Professor at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at Wrocław University of Science and Technology, where she is part of the Laser Technologies, Automation, and Production Management Department. A key researcher for the National Center for Research and Development and a member of the Polish Academy of Sciences, Professor Burduk has a robust and varied professional background. Her research interests are extensive, including the stability and optimization of production systems, the implementation of intelligent methods for production process control, risk evaluation in manufacturing systems, and the modeling and simulation of both manufacturing and business processes. Additionally, she focuses on information and material flow, and the digitalization and virtualization of production systems. Throughout her career, she has made significant academic and professional contributions and published many peer-reviewed research papers in impactful journals. She has also been a member of several prestigious scientific organizations, including the Polish Academy of Sciences and the Association of Polish Engineers and Mechanics. Beyond academia, Professor Burduk has completed numerous national and international scientific projects, as well as projects commissioned by manufacturing companies.
José Machado is a distinguished Portuguese mechanical engineer and Associate Professor with Habilitation at the University of Minho, Portugal, where he has dedicated to advancing mechatronics, automation, and Industry 4.0 technologies. He earned his PhD in mechanical engineering from the University of Minho in collaboration with École Normale Supérieure de Cachan, France, and completed his Habilitation in 2019. Currently serving as Deputy Director of the MEtRICs Research Center, he has established himself as a leading researcher in cyber-physical systems, dependable mechatronic systems, and medical device applications. His expertise spans formal verification of discrete event systems, industrial automation, and biomedical engineering applications. He actively serves on editorial boards of multiple international journals and regularly reviews for prestigious IEEE and IFAC publications. Machado's leadership extends beyond academia through his coordination of major research projects, including collaborations with industry giants. Notable projects include SCAPS (Safe Control of Automated Production Systems), HMIEXCEL (automotive multimedia solutions), and DigiIndustry (industrial process digitization).
Suthep Butdee is a distinguished expert in production engineering, automation, and robotics with many years of academic and research excellence. He holds a Ph.D. in manufacturing engineering from Queensland University of Technology, Australia (1998), and currently serves as Associate Professor at Rajamangala University of Technology Krungthep (RMUTK), Bangkok, Thailand. Prof. Butdee's extensive career spans multiple leadership roles, including Vice President of Research and Development at KMUTNB, Director of Ph.D. and master programs in production engineering, and University Council positions at North Eastern University, Thailand. As a prolific researcher, Prof. Butdee has authored many peer-reviewed publications in prestigious international journals and conferences, focusing on case-based reasoning, fuzzy logic applications, neural networks in manufacturing, and sustainable production systems. His notable contributions include developing intelligent process planning systems, robotic welding optimization, and automotive supply chain management solutions. Prof. Butdee has successfully managed numerous national programs for Thailand's Ministry of Industry, including manufacturing competitiveness improvement initiatives, supply chain management projects, and digital entrepreneurship development. Currently, he leads research in Industry 4.0 applications, AI-driven manufacturing systems, and sustainable production technologies. His work bridges theoretical research with practical industrial applications, making significant contributions to Thailand's manufacturing sector development and automation advancement in Southeast Asia.
Katarzyna Antosz is a distinguished Associate Professor at the Department of Manufacturing Processes and Production Engineering at Rzeszów University of Technology, Poland, where she has built an exceptional career spanning over two decades in mechanical engineering and production management. She obtained her habilitated doctorate in 2019 and her PhD in technical sciences in 2007, specialising in machine construction and operation, with expertise in mechanics and machine construction. Her research focuses on improving production efficiency and maintenance services through modern methodologies, including Lean Manufacturing, Lean Maintenance, Six Sigma, and artificial intelligence applications in decision-making processes. She is particularly recognized for her work in Industry 4.0 and Maintenance 4.0 technologies. Antosz has demonstrated exceptional leadership as Editor-in-Chief of the Assembly Techniques and Technologies journal and serves as a guest editor for numerous international publications. She is an active member of IEEE, the Polish Society of Production Management, and several other professional organisations. Her international collaborations span universities in Portugal, Norway, Italy, Ukraine, and China, where she served as a visiting professor at Beihang University. Her practical impact extends through managing significant research projects, including international EU-funded initiatives and industrial partnerships.
