This new edition builds upon the previous content, exploring new and emerging topics while maintaining the overall format and most of the chapters from the previous edition.

The book begins with basic information on neuroanesthesia comprehensively discussing the brain and spine anatomy, physiology and relevant pharmacology. It includes a chapter on pre-operative evaluation and each neurosurgical condition is discussed in a standard format. Each chapter, authored by experts in the field, includes numerous illustrations, images, flowcharts and latest evidence-based information.

It presents new chapters on cerebroprotective strategies during anesthesia, anesthesia for organ retrieval, personalized neuroanesthesia, artificial intelligence and future directions in neuroanesthesia.
