Professor M. Rezaul Islam is a leading scholar in Public Health and Social Work, serving as a professor and chairman of the Department of Public Health, University of Dhaka, Dhaka, Bangladesh. He earned his masters and Ph.D. from the University of Nottingham, England. He has published more than 200 scholarly works, including multiple books with Springer, Palgrave, Emerald, Peter Lang, Edward Elgar and Routledge, and has been recognized among the Stanford-Elsevier Top 2% of global scientists in Social Work. He has led numerous international research and consultancy projects with UNICEF, ILO, the World Bank, UNDP, and FAO, focusing on health systems, social protection, disaster resilience, and vulnerable populations. His research interests include global public health, mixed methods, policy translation, and capacity building in LMICs.
