Philosophy / Ethics & Moral Philosophy

This Open Access book examines the complex world of international scholarly publishing, global knowledge construction, and publishing ethics through the lens of English academic journal editing practice. Using a comparative, cross-cultural approach, it analyzes how different countries navigate international publishing while critically examining the challenges facing academic publishing worldwide.

The book highlights the dominant Western paradigms in scholarly publishing alongside innovative approaches developed by non-Western academic communities. It provides scholars across China, the Global North, and the Global South with practical methodologies and pathways for international publishing success.

Beyond offering practical guidance, the book also critically examines inequalities within global knowledge production systems and aims to foster more effective dialogue within the international scholarly community. It serves as both a resource for navigating international publishing and a reflection on how knowledge is constructed across cultural boundaries.
